The best thing to ever happen to Odell Beckham Jr. was his father taking to social media and posting a compilation video showing just how bad QB Baker Mayfield was throwing the ball to his son.It eventually led to his release from the team and OBJ dound himself being a free agent for the first time in his career.
Faced with decisions, he decided to sign a 1-year deal with the Rams and it could be argued that the team wouldn’t be in the Super Bowl without him.
With free agency approaching soon, Beckham’s value is much higher today than it was a few months ago.
When asked if he’d consider taking a pay cut to stick with the Rams this offseason, Beckham replied: “Yeah, of course.”
Beckham added that it “feels like home” to him. This place, it feels good in my heart,” Beckham said, via Nick Shook of NFL.com. “It feels like a home.”
Beckham has been successful in Los Angeles, hauling in 27 passes for 305 yards and five touchdowns in the regular season. He has been just as good in the playoffs. To help the team big time against the 49ers, he had nine catches for 113 yards in the NFC Championship.
Depending on what happens on Sunday, Beckham will hit an incentive that will net him either $500,000 or $1 million depending on the result.
