The Washington Football Team released quarterback Dwayne Haskins on Monday, putting an end to a two-year run that started with Washington drafting him 15th overall and ultimately ended with them benching him this past Sunday in favor of an undrafted quarterback with seven career games to his name.
It marked the culmination of a year that saw Haskins being twice fined for COVID-19 violations in addition to being benched at two different points in the season. If anybody knows how Haskins feels, it is Robert Griffin III, who was once the QB of the team.
The now-Ravens backup signal caller was released by Washington in March 2016, just 3 years after being drafted with the No. 2 pick of the 2012 draft.
He posted on Twitter with a message for Haskins after Washington announced it would be letting him go.WANT MORE FROM TOTALPROSPORTS? FOLLOW US ON GOOGLE NEWS.
