A.J. Brown played college football for Ole Miss. He was actually drafted as an outfielder by the San Diego Padres in the 2016 MLB Draft, which prevented him from playing baseball at Ole Miss. He was named All-SEC for two consecutive years before entering the 2019 NFL Draft. Brown was drafted as the 51st overall pick by the Tennessee Titans. In his rookie season with the Titans, Brown helped bring the team to the AFC Championship game, where they ultimately lost to the Kansas City Chiefs.
