Jayson Tatum played college ball for the Duke Blue Devils for one season before opting to go directly into the 2017 NBA Draft as a one-and-done. Tatum was selected third overall pick by the Boston Celtics in the 2017 NBA Draft. After his first season in the NBA, Tatum was named to the 2018 NBA All-Rookie Team. In 2020, Tatum signed a rookie maximum extension of five years, a contract worth $195 million. Jayson helped lead the Celtics to the NBA Finals in the 2021–2022 season where they ultimately fell to the Golden State Warriors in six games.
